Meet Captain Noche
At the heart of Noche’s, the Upper East Side’s premier Lebanese bakery, is Captain Noche, a visionary pastry artist with a deep passion for honoring his heritage through food. Born into a family of bakers in Beirut, Captain Noche grew up surrounded by the rich aromas of freshly baked mana’eesh, golden phyllo pastries, and slow-simmered spices. After training in both traditional Lebanese patisserie and French pastry techniques, he brought his talents to New York City, where he founded Noche’s, a love letter to his roots.
Renowned for his signature caramelized onion tart, a perfectly balanced blend of sweet, savory, and flaky perfection, Captain Noche crafts each dish with the authenticity and warmth of a home-cooked meal. From fragrant baklava to delicate sfouf, his creations celebrate time-honored flavors with a modern touch. Whether you’re stopping by for a morning ka’ak or indulging in a rich date cake, each bite at Noche’s tells a story—one of tradition, craftsmanship, and a deep love for Lebanese cuisine.
